Residential Electrician

Overview

The Residential Electrician will report into the regional Operations Manager and will function as the lead PV technician for Pacific Sun Technologies. They will meet with clients to coordinate the completion of the array and all related equipment necessary to provide a complete and working photovoltaic system. Pay is determined based on experience and stage you are placed in.

 

Responsibilities

The Residential Electrician will provide leadership and technical expertise photovoltaic installation teams.  In this position, the Residential Electrician will communicate the necessary job status data to the Pacific Sun Technologies operations management team to assure the successful operation of complete and working systems.  The ideal candidate will also lead efforts for safe working practices for the Pacific Sun Technologies installation team. Additional duties required as needed.

 

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required

• Must have a minimum of two years of PV installation experience, including at least 6 months of leading a crew of two

• Proficiency in installing all types of grid-tied inverters & able to work with various ground and roof mount racking systems

• Understanding of the NEC codes that relate to PV installations

• Must be very organized and be able to meet aggressive timelines

• Must deliver a high level of customer service

• Must be able to lift 50lbs

• Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold)

• Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs and work on rooftops

• Basic computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office programs

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

• Excellent customer service skills required

• Regular, reliable and predictable attendance required

• Ability to work well with others  in a collaborative team environment

• Must have a valid state driver’s license

• Must have a clean driving record (example- no DUI in the last 5 years)

• Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal screen. Additional pre-employment driving and drug screens may be required based on job responsibilities

Residential Solar Installer I/II/III

Overview

Pacific Sun Technologies is seeking applicants to install residential grid-tied PV systems.  In this position, the PV Installer will provide support to the crew lead of the installation team, communicate job status data to the operations management, and ensure the completion of installation of all solar arrays/systems.  It is the responsibility of every Installer to ensure safe work practices for the Pacific Sun Technologies installation team. Pay is determined based on experience and stage you are placed in.

Responsibilities

• Pulling inventory for each installation job

• Pre-assemble job components in the warehouse

• Layout and assembly of solar modules / array and mounting hardware

• Mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment

• Electrical wiring of solar array/system (AC and DC)

• Document completion of completed installation

• Clean up of job site

• Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology and safety

• Additional duties required as needed
 

Qualifications

• 6 months of roof work, general construction, or carpentry required

• Previous solar experience strongly preferred

• Must be able to lift 50lbs

• Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, crawl spaces, etc.)

• Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs, work on rooftops and able to work on your feet for long periods of time

• Basic computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office programs

• High school diploma or GED required

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

Project Coordinator

Overview

The Project Coordinator is a full-time position working with our Project Manager. You will work with both the Business Development Department and Sales Department to provide support to our customers. The ideal candidate for this position is articulate, proactive, and detail oriented. Core office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm per week.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and communicates with all project stakeholders and follow up with all projects in each stage

• Coordinate and submit customer permits and net energy metering documents

• Reviews and manages all project related documents

• Provides necessary support to make sure solar installers and/or customers understand the value of Pacific Sun Technologies

• Manages installers and maintains good relationships

• Collects and summarizes feedback from solar installers to optimize project management procedures 

• Participates in conferences and exhibitions as needed
