Powering Your Life with Smart Energy
The Sonnen battery is an energy storage solution that utilizes intelligent energy management software. It is easily adaptable to your individual needs. The system is available in a variety of storage capacities and configurations, allowing for extensibility and expansion. Sonnen allows you to save money every single day by harvesting energy from your solar system or the utility grid when it is cheapest, and using the stored energy from the battery to power your home when rates are more expensive.

How the Sonnen ecoLinx Works
A
Solar Panels
Your solar panels turn sunlight into clean DC (direct current) electricity.
B
Solar Inverter
Your solar inverter converts solar generated DC electricity into AC (alternation current) electricity that can power your home.
C
Main Electrical Panel
AC electricity passes through your electrical panel to power devices in your home.
D
ecoLinx - Storage
Your Sonnen ecoLinx converts excess AC electricity to DC for storage in its battery modules. When you need it, the electricity is converted back to AC - day, night, or during a power outage.
E
ecoLinx - Energy Automation
Your ecoLinx complements your solar and/or home automation system to power other smart devices in your home. Together, they effectively manage and maximize how you use energy in your home without disrupting your lifestyle.
F
Protected Electrical Panel
A second breaker box is an additional electrical panel that distributes to critical devices in your home in an outage from your ecoLinx.
G
Energy Meter
Your meter monitors and measures electricity use by your home and excess solar power fed into the utility grid.
H
Utility Grid
Your utility keeps you connected to local electrical grid, ensuring you have access to grid power when you need it.
