Solar Installation Estimator

Estimate my solar energy system.NOTICE: This is a simple exercise but not designed to be very accurate since the inputs are "guesstimates". We are happy to work with you to provide a site evaluation and an accurate estimate and quote if you decide to pursue a solar system installation.

First, you'll need twelve (12) months of electric bills. What is needed is an accurate monthly average. If you don't have this information you can get it by calling your electric company or going on line to your electricity provider's site, logging in and downloading or printing your information.

Second, where does the sun come up and go down in relation to your house? The best exposure is a direct Southern exposure. Is this mostly in the front, back or one side or other of the house? Based on which direction your house faces where is most of the sunny exposure? Is there a good amount of roof available in this location without shading or other blockages?

Third, do you have a large land area to put the system if you don't want to mount it on the roof? These are the kinds of questions you need to answer to be able to determine if solar is right for you.
